Pro Wrestling Blitz Pro Wrestling Blitz held High Stakes Saturday April 3rd, 2010 at the VFW Cantigny Post 367 in Joliet, IL, headlined by an insane Fans Bring the Weapons match, TNA's X-Pac taking on our very own Egotistico Fantastico, and a 20-man Blitz Rumble to crown the first Blitz Champion.

Match 1: Mike Sydal PWI Rookie of the Year vs. Zach Thompson for the King of the Cruiserweights Championship

Sydal worked over the champ's left arm at the start of the match until Thompson answered by punishing the challenger's back, notably with a side back breaker and pendulum submission. Sydal avoided a charging clothesline by doing a back bend, then met Thompson with a dropkick. The end came when Sydal went for a top rope cross body but Zach rolled through it and got a handful of tights for the pin and to retain the title in 8:03.

Match 2: Mark Sterling vs. Dinn T. Moore.

Sterling looked to be in great shape but was overpowered by the larger Moore. A lot of this match was spent on the outside when Dinn T. hit a sick front body slam on the floor, followed by an elbow drop off the apron. He later went to kick Sterling's head through the ring steps, but Mark moved so Moore appeared to have done damage to his left shin. Sterling worked over the leg in the ring with Moore looking as if he needed to give it up so he could fight another day. Dinn T. had a glimmer of hope when he dropped Sterling on his knee with an inverted DDT, followed by a swinging hangman's neck breaker all in one motion for 2. Dinn T. was able to battle through the pain to climb the ropes and hit a frog splash, but he smashed his knee on the way down and couldn't make the cover right away. When he did, Sterling got his foot on the rope. Dinn T. went to the ropes again, but Mark pulled him off, sending the 260-pounder crashing half way across the ring. Mark was able to get Moore's tree trunk legs into a figure 4 leg lock, but that was reversed until Sterling got the ropes. Sterling went for a dive from the 2nd rope, but Dinn T. on one foot amazingly caught him on his shoulders and hit his fireman's carry into a power slam for the win in 11:58.

Match 3: "Cadillac" Nick Colucci (w/"The Insurance Policy" Tony Scarpone) vs. "The Messiah of the Spine Buster" Machine (w/Ratt J. Flywheel)

As anyone would expect, Colucci spent a good portion of the opening minutes avoiding Machine. The ref had a hard time with Scarpone when Nick had Machine in a headlock and Tony pulled the ropes away from Machine. The ref told the Insurance Policy to let go, but he just glared at the ref. In the end, Cadillac missed a top rope front flipping cannonball, and Machine then flattened his opponent with the big Spine Buster. Scarpone and Flywheel hit the apron at the same time, with the ref choosing to admonish Flywheel. Tony cracked Machine with his kendo stick, only he fell back onto Colucci for the pin in 5:56.

Afterward, Scarpone and Colucci beat down Machine and Ratt with stomps and the kendo stick. Machine had a nasty cut and was bleeding behind his right shoulder from the kendo stick shots.

Match 4: Brandon Blaze vs. "Latin Lover" Tony Rican in a Fans Bring the Weapons Match

As Rican made his way to the ring, Blaze launched a trash can into the isle that nailed him right in the face. Tony came up gushing blood from his nose and mouth, but Blaze only got a 2-count after dragging him back to the ring and blasting him with a snow shovel. Notable weapons included a cheese grater, a mini-keg, crutches, mailbox, kendo sticks, bowling ball, croquet mallet, both wiffleball and softball bats, lots of baking and pizza pans, a pizza cutter, ice scraper, a tennis racket, golf club, a walker, and Guitar Hero guitars - all of which were used. Blaze was bleeding after Rican dragged the cheese grater across his forehead. Blaze dented a briefcase over the back of Rican's head, then opened it up to reveal thumbtacks. Tony was crotched on the top turnbuckle where Brandon got the advantage and tossed Tony back onto the tacks with a T-Bone superplex! The standing crowd erupted into a "Holy S***" chant. Shortly after, there was an amazing visual of the Latin Lover when he had blood caked around his eyes and on his teeth as he was seething with a vengeful look as the photographers' flash bulbs captured the moment. Blaze went to the back and brought out a door and propped it up in a corner. He set up for a power bomb, but Rican landed on his feet and went for a belly to belly suplex. Brandon fought that off and power slammed Tony against the door. The door didn't break and Rican landed on his head on the ride down. Blaze then hit the power bomb, which also didn't break the door but it did leave a Latin Lover shaped imprint. Blaze went to destroy Rican with a trashcan, but Tony caught him with a boot and nailed Brandon with the can. He set the can against the fallen Blaze in the corner, climbed to an adjacent turnbuckle and hit a Coast to Coast Dropkick (the Ricanator?) for the pin fall at the 19:33 mark!

The crowd did give Brandon Blaze an ovation for making it to his feet and for having such a fun brawl, but those cheers quickly turned to boos when Blaze didn't acknowledge the adulation.

Match 5: Egotistico Fantastico vs. X-Pac

X-Pac entered touching fingers with the Blitz crowd NWO style. After shaking hands to start, Ego and X-Pac traded holds back and forth until Ego back flipped over a charge and hit a dropkick, which seemed to really impress the all time great. X-Pac hit his signature reverse roundhouse kick and snap legdrop for 2. Ego got a 2 with a death valley driver, but was back body dropped to the outside during a power bomb attempt. X-Pac followed with a pescado to the floor. Ego ducked a clothesline and picked up X-Pac in an atomic drop and crotched him against the ring post. Back in the ring, Fantastico ducked his head on a back body drop attempt and suffered a snap DDT for his error. The TNA star went to the top but was cut off with an enzeguri and then an amazing super frankensteiner where Ego didn't climb the ropes, but leaped from the mat! X-Pac came back with a spinning heel kick and followed that with the Bronco Buster. Jim the ref pulled X-Pac away and was hit with an Ego running cross chop when X-Pac ducked. X-Pac hit the X-Factor, but only got a 2-count when the ref needed some time to come to. X-Pac set up for a second Bronco Buster but missed, allowing Ego to spike him with the Mexicution (reverse pile driver) for the win in 8:32.

Afterward, X-Pac raised Ego's hand and congratulated and thanked him for the match. X-Pac went back to the locker room to let Ego soak in the crowd's applause, which there was no shortage of, when Ashton Vuitton and his agent Rinaldo Piven came in and attacked Ego with a chair, laying him out. Piven, with the mask they took from Ego months ago, introduced Ashton and himself. He scoffed at Ego for hiding behind a mask, pointing out that Ashton prefers to show his face in magazines. He added that Ego won his high profile match tonight against X-Pac, so Ashton should win a high profile match next month. He then shocked Joliet, including Vuitton, when he said next month it will be Ashton Vuitton vs. Egotistico Fantastico in Blitz's first ever steel cage match! Piven closed by saying "Whatever 'IT' is, we've got it." Vuitton was upset at Rinaldo and Piven assured him he knew what he was doing as they made their way to the back. Fantastico received a well deserved ovation for making it to his feet.

Main Event: 20-Man Blitz Rumble to crown the first ever Blitz Champion

Before the match, Mr. B. announced on the video screen that the Blitz Rumble would run like the rumble match everyone knows and loves, but when it comes down to the last 4 participants, it would turn into a fatal 4-way with the first person to get a pin or submission winning the match. There were 20 participants, 2-minute intervals, and to be eliminated you had to be thrown over the top rope and both feet had to touch the floor.

Entrant 1: Hardcore Craig

Entrant 2: AM Vision

Hardcore Craig spent some time on the outside during this interval, which he would do for a good portion of the match.

Entrant 3: JTW (w/"Double A" Antoine Alcatraz)

Craig and JTW double teamed Vision. JTW told Craig they were going to throw AM through the roof, but they were both caught in a double DDT on a double back body drop attempt. JTW was thrown over the top rope, but Double A was there to keep him from hitting the floor.

Entrant 4: Tommy Motley

Alcatraz attacked Motley before he could get to the ring by throwing him into the ring post.

Entrant 5: Mark Sterling

Entrant 6: Johnny Motley

Alcatraz attacked Johnny before he could enter the match, similarly to how he attacked his brother Tommy. JTW capitalized on this by putting Monster Ballad in a double Warlock (sharpshooter).

Entrant 7: Ashton Vuitton

Entrant 8: "Canadian Sex Icon" Ryan Slade

JTW was thrown over the top rope but got his arms caught in the ropes Andre the Giant style and thus his feet did not touch the floor.

Mark Sterling was eliminated by AM Vision.

Entrant 9: Mi Gibson

Tommy Motley eliminated by Hardcore Craig.

Ashton Vuitton showed to be one of the smartest entrants by clinging for dear life on the bottom turnbuckle.

Entrant 10: Yu Jackman

Entrant 11: NBK

Johnny Motley almost eliminated Vuitton but Vuitton dropped in a leg split on the apron to avoid being pushed to the floor and pulled Motley's neck across the top rope.

Entrant 12: Frankie Rodriguez

Frankie Rodriguez eliminated by JTW. Rodriguez came in and hit a stunner on JTW, but was then super kicked over the top rope.

JTW eliminated by AM Vision and hit the guard rail hard on the way to the floor. He then lifted Steve the ref in a double choke lift and slammed him against the ring post.

Entrant 13: Ski Mask Malloy

Entrant 14: "The Walking Aphrodisiac" Matty Starr

Ryan Slade eliminated by Mi Gibson.

Yu Jackman eliminated by Mi Gibson.

Mi Gibson eliminated by Ashton Vuitton.

Entrant 17: "Cadallac" Nick Colucci

Entrant 19: Dinn T. Moore

Nick Colucci eliminated by Machine.

Entrant 20: "Roughneck" Jay Ryan

Masked Stretcher eliminated by AM Vision and Machine.

Johnny Motley eliminated by Brandon Torrino.

Someone in black pants and a black lucha mask came out and jumped Johnny on the floor. The wrestler looked familiar, like the kind that would survive a nuclear holocaust.

Matty Starr eliminated by Brandon Torrino.

Dinn T. Moore eliminated by Jay Ryan.

Brandon Torrino eliminated by Machine.

Ashton Vuitton eliminated by Machine.

The final 4 came down to AM Vision, Jay Ryan, Hardcore Craig and Machine. Machine put Craig down with the Spine Buster. As Machine was perched on the 2nd rope, Tony Scarpone came out and cracked him across the back with his kendo stick. This allowed Craig to lift Machine into the Hardcore Hangover, but Vision broke up the pin. The Joliet native then hit his top rope twisting splash on Machine, but the Roughneck broke up the pin as the two brawled to the floor. Craig seized the opportunity and pinned Machine at the 42:55 mark to win the Blitz Rumble and be crowned Pro Wrestling Blitz's first champion!

Iron Men of the Blitz Rumble: Tie between Hardcore Craig and AM Vision with the longest time of 42:55.

Most Eliminations: Brandon Torrino and Machine each had 4 eliminations. AM Vision had 3.

Frankie Rodriguez had the quickest elimination.

Hot crowd all night long!
