Pro Wrestling Blitz's Hostile Intent was held Saturday May 1st at the VFW Cantigny Post 367 in Joliet, IL, featuring not one, but two cage matches in the promotion's debut of the solid barbed steel structure.

Before the first match, a video played showing "Canadian Sex Icon" Ryan Slade and "Walking Aphrodisiac" Matty Starr looking to enlist the services of Ashton Vuitton's agent, Rinaldo Piven. Piven asked the Canadians to impress him tonight and maybe they could talk business after that.

Match 1: Brandon Torino vs. Tommy Motley

Torino used his 110lbs weight advantage at first until Tommy used his speed to out maneuver the big man when he floated over a bodyslam, hit some drop kicks then a flying headscissors. His momentum came to a halt when his face met up with Brandon's right boot. The crowd was on Torrino's case throughout the match for being from Green Bay. Tommy took advantage of Brandon getting flustered, but got caught with a rib breaker while going for a springboard dive from the apron. Torino followed this up with a piledriver for the win in 4:36. Afterward Johnny Motley came to the ring to check on his brother and Tommy seemed upset he was out there. Tommy jerked away from the ref when he tried to help him up. Tommy, frustrated with the loss, told Johnny this was ridiculous and he's sick and tired of him coming out here like this. Does Tommy not want his brother to check on him because he can handle himself or because he feels Johnny gloms all the attention? Either way, Tommy calmed down and the brothers hugged before leaving.

Match 2: Brandon Blaze vs. "Ice Daddy" Navy Blue vs. Dinn T. Moore in a 3-way Elimination Dance

Blue and Moore shook hands before the bell but Blaze refused to show respect to either participant. Dinn T. and Navy worked together on Brandon at first, highlighted by a T-bone suplex by Moore on Blaze, but Blaze low bridged the top rope on a charging Moore, sending the Wilmington native to the floor. In a confusing moment, Dinn T. got back into the ring to break up a pin after Ice Daddy had Blaze down on a big boot. Blue flattened Dinn T. with a urinage, which seemed to do some damage to Dinn T.'s shoulder, but then Brandon caught Blue with his Death Valley Bomb to eliminate Blue about 3 minutes into the match. Blaze used wrist tape to choke Moore as the ref was busy getting Blue to leave the ring area. Dinn T. came back with a bodyslam, went to the top rope and was crotched when Blaze "accidentally" shoved the ref into the ropes. In what would become a running theme for the event, both men battled on the turnbuckles until Moore hit an amazing super Michinoku Driver for a very close 2-count. More close near falls came when Moore hit a series of heavy blows and a running knee to the head for 2. Blaze grabbed a double leg pick up and put his feet on the ropes for 2. In the end, Dinn T. was able to procure a school boy roll up to eliminate Blaze and get win in 6:49 total match time. Immediately afterward, Ryan Slade and Matty Starr stormed the ring to attack the victorious Moore, but then they fought with Blaze too. Blaze and Moore battled back, disposed of Slade and Starr and bumped into each other back to back. They turned with fists cocked but held back, possibly out of mutual respect? The crowd broke out into a "USA" chant, as Blaze clapped for Moore before leaving ringside.

In perhaps the most touching moment in BLITZ history, BLITZ fan Mo got down on one knee in the middle of the ring and proposed to his girlfriend Amanda, and she said yes! When asked if he thought about a date yet, Mo said Saturday June 5th, the date for Downtown Throwdown. Mo and Amanda will get married in the BLITZ ring next month!

Match 3: "Insurance Policy" Tony Scarpone & "Cadallac" Nick Collucci vs. "Messiah of the Spine Buster" Machine (w/Ratt J. Flywheel) & "The Latin Lover" Tony Rican

Machine and Flywheel came out alone, and Flywheel explained that the last time they recruited a tag team partner, Scarpone's cousin Collucci screwed them over. This time they picked someone they can trust, someone who'll spill his blood if necessary to win: Tony Rican. The 320lbs Machine hit his impressive as always scissors kick early on Collucci, but after Rican tagged in and went for a monkey flip, Scarpone pushed him off from the apron. In a funny moment, the crowd chanted "Tony" and Scarpone was confused if they were chanting for him or for Rican. Then in an incredible display of strength, Scarpone lifted the Latin Lover into an airplane military press, spinning him around before dropping him over his shoulder for a powerslam. The cousins took advantage of the ref when they could, with Tony drawing his attention to the fans screaming he was cheating while Nick choked Rican. Then when Machine came around to break up the choke, the ref turned his attention to Machine, missing the double teaming going on behind him. The Insurance Policy missed a charge in the corner, allowing The Latin Lover to hit a top rope drop kick and get the tag to his partner. Machine cleaned house and hit a German release suplex on Collucci, turning him inside out. Rican came to and used Scarpone, who was on his hands and knees, as a springboard to tope onto Nick on the floor. Machine missed a charge on Scarpone, resulting in a very close 2-count on a roll up. Scarpone hit a mafia kick, but Machine brushed it off and hit the big spine buster for another close 2-count. Machine called for Ratt J. to toss him their kendo stick, which Machine used to splinter across Scarpone's back for the disqualification in 8:44. Flywheel held Collucci by the hair, rendering him helpless as Machine whacked away at Scarpone with the kendo stick. Ratt J. calmed Machine down and told Scarpone this was revenge for last month. Since both Machine and Scarpone like to use weapons against each other, he challenged Scarpone to take on Machine in a 3 Stages of Hell match next month.

Match 4: "Canadian Sex Icon" Ryan Slade, "Walking Aphrodisiac" Matty Starr, and King of the Cruiserweights Champion Zach Thompson vs. The Aussie All-Stars (w/Go-Go Kidman) and "Waterboy" Mike Horning

Fast action to start as Mi Gibson almost got a pinfall in the opening minute on Slade after countering a side slam with a tilt-a-whirl into a school boy. Yu Jackman got caught in the wrong corner and took a lot of punishment until Starr went for a delayed vertical suplex. Jackman landed on his feet to counter the move and hit a diamond cutter. Waterboy got the tag, tore it up and hit a beautiful O'Conner Roll into a bridging German Suplex on Thompson for 2. Matty hit an old school diamond cutter (where the guy giving the move goes face first too) on Horning, but got caught with a back stabber by Gibson. Slade hit his Ry-plex (fisherman's suplex) on Gibson, but Hammy the ref had kept up with who the legal man was and didn't count the pin. Yu broke that up and hit a front spike slam on Slade, then followed up with he and his twin brother hitting an Australian leg sweep and STO combo. The Aussies and the Canadians spilled into a brawl on the outside as the King of the Cruiserweights got a 2-count with a gorgeous Northern Lights Suplex on the Waterboy. He continued with an enzeguri in the the corner, propped Horning on the top turnbuckle, but got shoved off and landing hard after a brief exchange. The Waterboy followed up with an Art Barr-style frog splash for the pin in 13:54. Before Horning and the All-Stars could celebrate, Zach clipped Mike's left knee and hit a shin breaker until the twins made the save. Horning could be in line for a shot at Thompson's championship, but is he in any condition to compete?

A video then played of AM Vision saying if he doesn't win his cage match tonight against "Roughneck" Jay Ryan, he would leave Pro Wrestling Blitz and never wrestle in Joliet again.

Match 5: Johnny Motley vs. Hardcore Craig for the Pro Wrestling Blitz Championship

Craig's 20 years of experience showed here as he dominated the majority of this match, highlighted by sickeningly loud chops and overhand slaps. Motley tried to come back with a springboard cross body block off the 2nd turnbuckle, but got caught with a table top suplex. Johnny ducked a series of 3 clotheslines and back hands until getting caught with a spear for a 2-count. The champion charged twice into the corner but was caught each time with an elbow, dazing him just enough for Johnny to hit an acid drop, but he was too hurt to cover the champ. Motley was able to get the top to hit a drop kick, but Hardcore was shot back into the ref, folding him up like an accordion. Motley went to the top, presumably going for his phenomenal Spinal Tap, but the same mysterious man from last show in the black mask and pants interfered and crotched him. Tommy Motley came out to chase off the masked man, as Craig came to and nailed Johnny with a palm strike and a huge Hardcore Hangover to retain his championship in 6:11. Hardcore pushed down the ref and hit another Hangover on Johnny, dedicating the second one to Joliet. The champ got the mic and said he's the heavyweight champion and should not be wrestling cruiserweights. He asked for competition when the lights went out and we all heard the all too familiar question, "What does everybody want?" Yes, former Hardcore and tag team champion Al Snow is coming to Pro Wrestling Blitz Saturday June 5th! When the lights came on, Blitz official Tobi Hope was on his phone and announced to Craig that he was talking to Mr. B. He said Craig will get what he asked for as it will be Craig vs. Snow for the Blitz Championship June 5th at Downtown Throwdown!

Match 6: "Roughneck" Jay Ryan vs. "Infamous" AM Vision in a Loser Leaves Town Steel Cage Match

The Roughneck came out first, got on the mic and said he'll up the ante for the match, exclaiming that if he didn't win, he would also leave Pro Wrestling Blitz. The match was officially made a Loser Leaves Town Match. Ryan struck first, front body slamming Vision into the side of the cage and throwing him against another side. Jay unsuccessfully tried to open Vision up by raking his forehead against the barbed steel. This didn't stay the case though as a slingshot into the cage split AM's forehead open. Ryan sent his bloodied opponent sailing into the steel again, only this time Vision bounced off to where he landed hard in the middle of the ring. Roughneck then bit at Vision's lacerated forehead before AM retaliated with his exploding calf kick after reversing an Irish whip. His offense didn't last though as Ryan suplexed him against the jagged mesh. The Pride of Cut and Shoot hit some forearms and went for a charge, but was caught with a stun gun into the cage. He tried for a tackle, but AM dodged, sending Ryan diving head first through the ropes with nowhere to go except into steel, busting him wide open. Vision got a 2 with the Infamy, followed by another favorite of his, the Texas Cloverleaf, but the Roughneck was able to climb up the ropes to alleviate the pressure and force Vision off the hold. They battled up the ropes and up the cage as the florescent lighting plus the light from the cameras projected a great visual of Ryan's bloody face. They knocked each other off, with Ryan scraping the inside of his leg on the way down and Vision crotching himself on the top rope. Ryan hooked a sleeper and got the Joliet native's arm to drop twice, but not for a third time. AM elbowed his way up, almost got caught in another sleeper but countered by shoving Jay into the cage. Vision went to the top rope, but Jay cut him off as they went back and forth, ending with Ryan's head being slammed into the top cage bar and falling hard back into the ring. Vision then climbed to the top of the cage and dove on Ryan with a huge splash! Wanting to make sure the Roughneck was down and out, Vision instead of going for the pin followed with 3 rolling German suplexes, bridging on the 3rd for a debatable 2-count. Ryan answered with a tower hacker bomb for 2. He dropped Vision in a front suplex on the top turnbuckle, but AM ruined his plans with a sunset flip powerbomb. Vision hooked in the Texas Cloverleaf again, and after holding on as long as he could, The Roughneck Jay Ryan not only tapped out the match, but his Blitz career as well at the 16:14 mark. That may have been the first and only time Jay Ryan submitted in a match. The crowd sung "Hey Hey Goodbye" as Ryan looked visibly upset and Vision celebrated with his home crowd.

Main Event: Ashton Vuitton (w/Rinaldo Piven) vs. Egotistico Fantastico in a Steel Cage Match

As Ego was getting into the cage, Vuitton tried to dropkick him, but missed and flew through the ropes and out the door. They brawled around the ring until Piven grabbed Ego. Ego pulled a fist back and the agent screamed and ran away. They got in the cage, the opening bell rang and a gullible Vuitton accepted Fantastico's handshake offer and received a boot to the face. Ego hit a delayed vertical suplex where he posed for each side of the crowd, offering up an excellent photo op. He continued the innovative offense with an inverted gutwrench suplex and his Mexican surfboard where he finished by launching Ashton face first into the top turnbuckle. Ego signaled for a running knee, but Vuitton caught him with a hip toss into the cage. Ashton went on a rampage, launching the 3,333 pounder into three sides of the steel. He tried to escape the cage but Ego pulled him down, draping him across the top turnbuckle and laying in some vicious forearms. Ashton regained control on an Irish whip reversal and a drop kick. Similar to previous matches, they went at it up the turnbuckles, only this time Vuitton kicked Ego off, tried again to leave over the top, but was pulled backward by the legs, landing face first on the mat. Ashton looked like he was going to go for a victory roll, but flipped back and spiked Ego with a reverse frankensteiner for 2. Ego managed to get Ashton up for a Death Valley Driver attempt, but it was countered into a jumping ace crusher for 2. This was answered with Fantastico hitting a spinning back kick and then powerbombing Vuitton into the cage, causing Vuitton to get tangled in the ropes on the way down as he slowly slid against the barbed metal. Ego went to escape but Piven blocked the door with help from a steel chair. Vuitton snuck up behind him and attempted a backslide, but as Ego tried to reverse it, the reversal was countered with a DDT. Rinaldo threw the chair into the ring and took off his belt, threaded it through the cage and choked Egotistico as Vuitton hit a series of dropkicks, backing Ego hard against the solid bars and mesh with each one. Ashton was going to leave through the door, but Piven stopped him, saying he wanted Ego finished for good and that they were playing for keeps. Vuitton instead just went for the pin but only got 2. He opened the door again as his agent told him to get back in there and finish off his opponent. Ego came to and pulled Ashton back by the feet, who was holding onto Piven, so Ego was basically pulling both guys into the ring. Fantastico grabbed Rinaldo by his tie as Piven offered him money and said he could make him a big star. Vuitton hit Ego with a forearm, Piven kicked him low, then Ashton floored Ego with a chairshot for 2. He went to leave again but Piven held the door closed impressively on the outside with his feet as he held on to the cage. When Ashton gave up and turned around, Ego hit a Death Valley Driver on the chair for the win in 17:50.

This concluded Pro Wrestling Blitz's Hostile Intent. Blitz is back at the VFW Saturday June 5th for Downtown Throwdown with Hardcore Craig vs. Al Snow for the Pro Wrestling Blitz Championship, Machine vs. Tony Scarpone in a 3 Stages of Hell Match, and Mo and Amanda's wedding. Before then Blitz is also in action Saturday May 22nd in The Wisconsin Dells with Sean "X-Pac" Waltman and Thursday June 3rd following Joliet Jackhammers baseball at Silver Cross Field.
